We met Kiera and Adam in a quiet corner of Le Pain Quotidien in Borough Market, only 8 months before their big day. They had a clear idea of how they wanted their day at Trinity Buoy Wharf to look and feel. But just weren’t sure how to turn what was in their heads (and super organised Powerpoint) into reality. Cue, Utterly Wow.
They had already secured the gorgeous bare bones of Trinity Buoy Wharf in East London. Yet needed help with sourcing super suppliers and designing the space. We created a Design Scheme that brought all the ideas they had together. Along with couple of flourishes to give it that utterly wow effect. Having the ceremony in the Electrician’s Shop, and reception at the Chainstore, we needed to bring not one, but two spaces to life. We put together a paired back, urban-chic design scheme, that we felt reflected their personalities and lifestyle (having just moved back to England from NY!). Lush green foliage, blue coloured glassware, bare wood tables, industrial Tolix chairs and pops of subtle colour all came together. Creating a contemporary, urban-chic scheme. Our favourite design detail though has to be the foliage wall. Kiera and Adam had commissioned the neon sign from Bag & Bones especially. Possibly the best wedding day keepsake ever?!
With me still technically on maternity leave, Helen was flying solo on this particular wedding. Having an 18 hour window in which to get in, get married and get out does make Trinity Buoy Wharf a challenging venue. An extra pair of hands was called in for the day in the form of the lovely Sam from Flutterbee Me Events. She was an incredible help, and managed to satisfy my need for lots of photos. (Helen is totally rubbish at remembering to take pictures.) It was an utter success and SUCH a fun wedding!
The beautiful and talented Claudia Rose Carter took the most magical photos which captured the day and our couple perfectly, so we’ll let her images do the talking from here… Enjoy.
