I first met Linsey back in the summer of 2015. She was a busy, working mum of one (Ted, then 8 months) and I liked her instantly. She was from my neck of the woods, incredibly funny and dry, had the most beautiful hair, and she wasn’t remotely bothered by the fact that I myself was 7 months pregnant.
We quickly found and booked the beautiful Court Lodge in Stansted, Kent and the wedding was set for September 2016… and then Linsey got pregnant again and the wedding got put back to May 2017, meaning we had the gorgeous baby Florence with us on the day too.
It was truly one of the most relaxed and beautiful weddings I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of.
When we first met, Linsey’s brief was that she wanted nothing too formal or ‘wedding-y’. Her ideal wedding was a London street party with genuine vintage elements in a rustic barn setting. Over the 22 months or so we were working on the wedding, it actually became a little less London street party and a smidge more classic, but there was still a huge emphasis on fun and the colour palette was bloody delicious, if I say so myself; whites, creams and pale blush with punches of hot pink and oxblood.
Anyway, you don’t need any more waffle from me; I’ll let Dominique Bader’s stunning photography do the talking from here…
Thank you to an absolute crack team of suppliers, many of whom I used at my own wedding and will continue to use whenever I possibly can!
